GE Zenith - ZTG Series Transfer Switches - Commercial & Industrial - Automatic & Manual, Enclosed & Open, Indoor & Outdoor
Zenith is of the world leaders in emergency and standby power transfer solutions, Zenith keeps your power on. Zenith is committed to providing a full range of quality-driven products, backed by nationwide 24-hour service and support.

This series of automatic transfer switches is designed for commercial and industrial standard applications requiring dependability and ease of operation. These switches combine reliability, flexibility and ease of use in a rugged industrial package. ZTG switches work together with any remote-start generator that use two-wire control, allowing the standby power system to be fully automatic. Designed for standard applications, the ZTG Series builds on ZTS technology while providing a pre-engineered project solution.

The MX250 microprocessor control system, includes as standard many of the most common features that are options on competing transfer switches. It also provides an intuitive user interface, communications capability and self diagnostics.

The transfer switch monitors utility and generator power. When utility power fails or is unsatisfactory, the control starts the generator set and transfers the load to the generator set as soon as the generator reaches speed and voltage. When utility power is restored the transfer switch automatically transfers back to utility power, shutting down the generator and instantly resetting itself for the next power interruption. No action is required by the owner.

We recommend ZTG switches when purchasing any standby or primary power generator systems. If you require optional features such as auxiliary contacts, extra power poles to switch neutral, special enclosures or communications features, we recommend that you purchase this ZTG series. If you require a switch that will handle large motor loads or inductive loads see GE Zenith, ZTS Industrial Automatic Transfer Switches, Service Entrance. For Residential and commercial applications see GE Zenith, ZTX Light Duty Residential & Commercial Transfer Switches. Sequence of Operation of A Transfer Switch

When utility power fails for just 3 seconds or more, the ZTG switch signals the generator to start.
In less than 30 seconds your electrical power is restored and life returns to normal.
Once the ZTG switch senses utility power has reached an acceptable voltage level for a period of time, it automatically reconnects your home or business to commercial power.
It then smoothly shuts the generator down after a one minute cool down period to extend generator life.
The ZTG switch automatically performs a test to simulate utility power failure every 14 days.
The user-friendly control panel also allows you to manually run a test at the push of a button.
LED indicators let you know the availability of both power sources and transfer switch positions.
